What is Kintsugi?

Kintsugi (金継ぎ, “golden joinery") is a time-honoured Japanese art form that transforms broken ceramics into delicate masterpieces. Mended with gold, silver, or coloured lacquer, the repaired fractures become unique decorations. This technique cherishes each piece's individual history and embraces imperfections as part of beauty, offering a renewed life to treasured objects.
